Pretty much all the cloud providers offer a free plan that gives decent amount of space, and if you need more you can upgrade to their paid plan.
But, depending on your need, for most typical use, you might be happy if you just stick with the free plan.
We’ve provided 10 online cloud storage providers who provide free space. Just play around with them, and pick the one that meets your requirement.

1. Dropbox

If you just want to pick only one from this list for storing your files in the cloud, this should be it. Very robust, easy to user interface, and no-ads on their free plan. This works pretty much on all platforms. You cannot use dropbox to create a new document, and edit it from a Web UI like google drive.

2. Google Drive

If you are using gmail, you should definitely start using google drive. Apart from just uploading documents from your local drive to the google drive, you can also edit document, create document directly from a web UI. One of the great things is that it has a very robust document sharing feature.

3. Box

This has a feature called box notes, which allows you to create document, and share it with others in real time.

4. OneDrive

OneDrive is from microsoft. As you can imagine, if you are already using Windows OS, this is a pretty good choice. This also works on Xbox.

5. ADrive

While they offer 50GB of free space, it has some limitations. The free plan is ad-supported on Android and iOS app. In this free plan you can access it only from Web UI (other protocols are not supported).

6. Ubuntu One

If you are using Ubuntu, this might be appealing to you. This also has app for all other major platforms. They also provide 6 months of music streaming for free.

7. Bitcasa

In this platform, right before the upload, the files are encrypted, and then uploaded to their server. They also offer all the typical cloud storage functionality that you can expect.

8. iCloud

If you are a Mac user, probably you are already using iCloud. If not, you can use use it and take advantage of the free space.

9. MediaFire

If you’ve come all the way until #9, probably you are already using few of the above storage providers, and you need more free space.

10. IDrive
